The Pine Barrens Expansion Act, which would add more than 1000 acres to the Core Preservation area of the Pine Barrens, has arrived on Governor Cuomo's desk. Please call him immediately, urging him to sign this important legislation. I am calling in support of bill numbers A7722-B and S6157-B, to add environmentally-sensitive land in Shoreham and Mastic to the Core Preservation Area of the Long Island Pine Barrens.
We should not be cutting down woods for solar energy. The current plan provides for both preservation of Pine Barrens AND re-location of solar, so Long Island gets the benefit of both.
